Noosa National Park is one of Australia’s most loved coastal national parks, offering a network of stunning walking trails through rainforest, heathland and along dramatic clifftops overlooking the Pacific Ocean. From La Mer Beachfront Apartments, the park entrance is just a 15 minute walk along the beach.
The Coastal Track
The most popular walk in Noosa National Park is the Coastal Track — a 10.8 kilometre return walk from the park entrance at Noosa Heads to the secluded Alexandria Bay. The track winds along clifftops with breathtaking ocean views, passing through coastal heath and rainforest with regular dolphin and whale sightings from the lookout points.
Tea Tree Bay and Dolphin Point
A short walk from the park entrance brings you to Tea Tree Bay, a sheltered cove popular with longboard surfers and snorkellers. Dolphin Point, just further along the track, is one of the best spots on the Sunshine Coast to see dolphins in the wild.
Alexandria Bay
A 35 minute walk from La Mer through the national park will bring you to Alexandria Bay — a calm and secluded beach with gentle rolling waves, perfect for swimming and relaxing away from the crowds.
Walking Tips
Start early to avoid the heat and crowds, especially during school holidays. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen and insect repellent. The tracks are well maintained but can be steep in sections — wear comfortable walking shoes.
